ABSTRACT
The purpose of this
research is to detects the distribution of rearing pond district Tarakan. Area study is coastal and sea Tarakan. Stage of this
research is observation, survey secondary data survey primary data, process
satellite image data and interpretation spatial distribution and area where
does image composite result classification use method isoclass unsupervised
classification based on satellite image interpretation landsat ETM +7. This
result of study showed the distribution of rearing pond district Tarakan intepretation based citra
Landsat-TM is 1.566,5 ha with dominant
distribution in area west and north par island. From result ground truthing and
beginning observation, condition rearing pond is divided on two that is, rearing
ponds productive and rearing ponds non productive, where does condition second
ratio 1.500,3 rearing ponds productive and 66,2 ha non productive.

ABSTRACT
Mangrove forest
in mamburungan conservation area is uniqe ecosystem, its have much biodiversity
in flora and fauna. In the presence biota water especially makrozoobenthos has
to big play a part in ecosystem balance. The Purpose of this research know makrozoobenthos's relationship
picture to in the presence area mangrove ecological.
The research found that on four sasiun
researces are 263 consisting of species 163 specieses of Gastropoda's classes,
50 specieses of Bivalva's classes, 29 specieses of Polychaetha's classes, and
21 specieses of Crustacea's classes. Variety index point (H’) one that acquired
ranging among 1,60 – 2,11. Coronet density correlation adjures with found
makrozoobenthos existence on Mangrove Mamburungan's conservation area is gotten
assesses r s 0,6. It means to
exist relationship among coronet density adjures with makrozoobenthos's
existence, but don't happen perfect relationship.

Abstract
The purpose of this Research is to
investigate heavy metal content in meet darah shell (Anadara granosa). Method to collecting of primary data is method
survey with direct interview technique and analysed in laboratory. It were
analysed heavy metal such as; Fe, and Cu, by used AAS. The result test laboratory for darah shell (Anadara granosa) with AAS is it can
consumed because it have not contain dangerous heavy metal like Cu but
it detected contain little heavy metal Fe.

Abstract
The study of structure communities gastropoda was since at
communities mangrove in Old
Amal Beach
on November 2009. Taking sample do by using method transek quadrate. The
analysis of data was density, abundance,
and frequency presence use formula krebs (1978) and Index unity, Index
dominansi and Suitability use formula odum (1994). The result of the research
was show kind gastrophoda meet consist of 5 species from superfamily buccinacea,
Family melongenidae, Genus melongena schumacher, With a few
species are melongena funnel, Melongena patula, Pugilina morio, Pugilina
sp, Melongena sp. Index of
unity about 0,6689, Index dominansi about 0,2264 and Index suitability about
0,4156

Abstract
The studies of phytoplankton
primary productivity and diversity of macrobenthic fauna in different density
of mangrove were carried out from May to June 2009 in mangrove conservation
area, in Tarakan, East-Kalimantan, Indonesia. Content of chlorophyll-a converted
to phytoplankton primary productivity by Strickland formula. Diversity of macrozoobenthos calculated with
Shannon’s Index. Phytoplankton primary productivity in high, middle and low
density of mangrove are 50.13±5.53 mgC/m3/d; 45.32±6.48 mgC/m3/d and 41.48±6.48 mgC/m3/d respectively.
Shannon’s index value in low, middle and high density of mangrove are
2.24-2.61; 1.33-2.51 and 1.35-2.51 respectively. The results of this study showed a strong
correlation betweeen diversity of macrobenthic fauna and the density of
mangrove (Contingency coefficient = 0.554; Sig.= 0.147)

A B S T R A CT
Fish Siganus (Siganus Sp) is one type of
fish that have high economic value, especially rabbitfishes write (Siganus
javus) because these fish have a tasty meat flavor and delicious and nutritious
because they contain high protein which is around 35% - 46%. By looking at the potential
importance of fish Siganus javus so it will need an appropriate management
through research on fish Siganus javus order to remain sustainable existence.
Research on rabbitfishes has actually done that is about how to feed and
cultivation of Siganus javus and Siganus Canaliculatus, but research on aspects
of reproductive and morphometric rabbitfishes write (Siganus javus) is rarely
done. Fish sampling was conducted from January 2004 until December 2004
by using samples taken from catches of fishermen in the waters around Jepara.
This research use descriptive research design. Data collected by sampling. Data obtained from the sampling results is an
estimated data (estimate value). Sampling was conducted using a
purposive sampling. Based on the analysis of
male fish from Demaan village, Jepara, where fish can reach a maximum length (L
∞) equal to 30.409 cm, while for female fish can reach a maximum length (L ∞)
equal to 30.054 cm. Achieved by growth in rabbitfishes both male and
female writing related to the availability of food in the surrounding waters in
Jepara as a feeding ground or select one of the area as a place to seek food
from rabbitfishes write (Siganus javus). The availability of adequate food,
will make rabbitfishes writing can be grown. For
the male fish will run faster growth from the age of 0-150 days, then will run
very fast at the age of 150 days to 250 days age. After the age of more than
250 days, the growth in length remained relatively constant or slow down again
until it reaches zero at this very old fish.

Study of Mangrove
Forest Management in Conservation
Added Area in Karang Rejo Village

ABSTRACT
Mangrove are repositories of immense biological
diversity and are also the nursery and breeding ground of several marine life
forms, such as species of prawns, crabs, fishes and mollusks. For
Rehabilitation and add of mangrove conservation area, Tarakan Government bought
12 ha of breakiswater pond. The aims of this research are: 1) to description of
mangrove forest and community in conservation area added, and 2) to formulate
the management strategies capability of mangrove forest in Karang Rejo Village, Tarakan city, East
Kalimantan. SWOT analysis used to take for certain management
strategies of mangrove based on area potencies result. The dominant mangrove
species in this area is Sonneratia alba
and Avicennia alba. Community around of mangrove forest conservation agree
with conservation program. Management strategies priority for management are :
1) Action of the law, 2) monitoring and protection action, 3) Ecotourism
mangrove development, 4) working together of all steakholder in area of
location, 5) human resources improvement, and 6) rehabilitation and add of
mangrove species

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research are to know tpe of soil
pursuant to type of mangrove, to know correlation of soil to species
composition distribution of mangrove. Benefit of this research are to give information regarding
how far plant of mangrove in region coastal area of Tarakan city can grow at
certain substrat. To government of
Tarakan city as supporter information regarding readyly seed stok of mangrove
needed to area of mangrove matching with place growing. Equiping researchs which have there and as
reference to researchers here in after to do research concerning mangrove. The result of this research are distribution
type of mangrove for Sonneratia sp in
area of forest mangrove in Old Amal Beach 100% known to have type of soil
dominant sand with its mean proportion of its, sandy 96,00%, silt 2,37%, clay
0,31%. Distribution of Rhizopora sp
in area of forest mangrove Gusher 90,16% known to have type of soil dominant
sandy clay with its mean proportion of its, sandy 87,03%, silt 10,8%, clay
2,09%. Distribution of Bruguiera sp in area of forest mangrove
Gusher 47,77% known to have type of soil dominant sand with its mean proportion
of its, sandy 93,73%, silt 5,19%, clay 0,46%. Its correlation for the type of Avicennia sp, Sonneratia sp, and Bruguiera sp show happened relation but
donot so sliver. While Rhizopora sp
show happened relation so sliver.

ABSTRACT
Knowledge
about fish behaviour be factor important in determine success of operation
catching because i this related to characteristics a target catching either
through physical also the biological. Part from tool catch gill net influence
behaviour fish there is six factor there are twine net, Strains distance body
net, Shortening, Tall net, mesh size and Colour net. Target catching is fish
pelagis in two condition, That is of
condition net passive cause fish trapp with hooking part the fish gills while
when net in a condition mobile so fish inclined trapp according to belit in
body net. Efforts catching can do towards kind fish demersal that is with increase
gravity net so that not formed ante-room part under net under of the sea. Limit maximum depth swimming a kind fish be
matter important in determine success efforts catching.

ABSTRACT
The
purpose of this research is to study potential sea weed cultivation at island
waters bunyu by hidro-oceanografi and geography information system. Location of this research on marine culture
development zone plan waters (RDTR) island bunyu, Regency bulungan, East
Kalimantan, where geographically in 3°24'46" -3°24'46" latitude and
117°47'3" -118°00'00" Longitude.
This research are literature review,
ground check, Observation and Interview.
The research that used method survey and qualitative. The stage is preced with identify condition
hidro-oceanografi that measuresed according to insitu as primary data. Then identification accessibility as
secondary data. Identification result
further more at analysis based on weighted
sea weed cultivation location with matrix. Analysis result above then analyzed
furthermore by using method skoring and Geographical information system to
produces map tematik new. Percentage
turn result as result skoring from location suitable evaluation system evaluation
for sea weed cultivation (eucheuma cottonii) show in four locations moderate
suitable and One
location marginal suitable
